September - October Ministry Update and Encouragement

HI FRIENDS :)

We are excited to share what the Lord has been up to in the ministry and our hearts this last month. None of this is possible without your prayers, support, and generosity. We are grateful for each of you and how you have come around our family!

Before we dive into some ministry updates, we pray this encourages you:

They asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
John 6:28-29

We have been reflecting on this a lot as we have been in a busier ministry season and will continue to be a busy season for a while. The Lord has been encouraging us that the only thing the Lord requires of us is to believe in Him. Now, it's important to be clear as to what that means. The word, believe, as the New Testament writers and readers understood it, was not referring to a cognitive reality, but to a deep trust and dependence.

So we read, the work of God is to faithfully depend on the one he has sent -- to fully trust Him. Such trust will radically change our lives and bring us to unity with God. Not by our own doing, but by clinging to the one who is righteousness and is the embodiment of the kingdom.

He takes care of His kingdom, and we simply get to be a part of it as we hold on to him. He does not need us to, His invitation is purely out of love and desire for our own benefit. Such love for us!

The Lord has been bringing us back to this, this revelation of the blood of Christ, bringing us into a heart posture of humility, gratitude, and joy. We pray that the Lord would remind you of that this week as well. He loves us so much!

AWAKEN INDY RECAP

On September 17th we hosted an AWAKEN Indianapolis at Mercy Road Church - Carmel. It was such a beautiful night full of worship and lifting glory unto the King! If you click the link below, you will see a recap video from the night! Here are some of the responses we collected:

  • 11 people said they experienced healing, freedom, or breakthrough
  • 9 people said their faith was awakened
  • 3 people said they felt called to be a missionary or in ministry
  • 1 person gave their life to Jesus for the first time!!
  • "God reminded me of who He sees me as."
  • "He lit places in me that I had forgotten and new faith has literally awakened."
  • "Their was so much that broke off of me tonight! Glory to the Lord!"
  • "Felt freedom from anxiety and shame, from intrusive thoughts from the enemy"

MINISTRY UPDATE

  • Up to this point, AWAKEN’s ministry was generously funded entirely by a partner organization. Unfortunately, they recently shared they are no longer able to financially support us due to changes in their own donor base. We still believe the Lord has called us to this ministry in this season, and we trust that where he calls, he provides. So we are now prayerfully raising $7500 by January 1, 2027 to fund 1 year of ministry. This will cover all our music licensing, pay for projects that require third parties, and help fund our trips when we travel. Please be praying with us and prayerfully consider if financially giving to the ministry is something the Lord is putting on your heart.
  • We are headed to Belmont University next week on October 22nd to minister to the students there! We are still securing our housing for our trip, but we know the Lord will provide! It has been so encouraging as we have been connecting with local pastors and ministers to the Nashville area. They are all saying that they are sensing a deeper hunger among this generation in the Nashville area. Praise Jesus! We are excited for what He will do!
  • Our partnership with Chi Alpha at IU Indy is a bit of a different model than we have been pulling off up until this point. We are going to IU Indy on November 1st to minister to the student leaders in their ministry. There will be about 30 of us huddled up in someone's basement as we create space for what Jesus will do! Then on February 18th, we are going back to partner with the Chi Alpha ministry to minister to open it up to the whole campus! Pray for us as we prepare for these events!
  • As we have shared in previous newsletters, Ignite recently acquired Discipleship.org, an organization dedicated to equipping churches and believers for the work of disciple-making. Discipleship.org hosts a large national conference every Spring, and, starting this year, we are moving it to the fall. This means that in 2027 there will be a conference in the Spring and the Fall. This massive undertaking is going to require a lot, so the Ignite board has asked all of Ignite to help make this happen. It might mean a few less AWAKEN Nights than our original goal for 2027, but we are excited to help them in this season so we can see more churches equipped to make disciples around the country!

LIFE UPDATE

  • Praise report! Back in August we mentioned Mady's health issues. We are happy to share that she is doing a million times better! Praise Jesus! Keep praying for her and and our family as she continues to get healthy.
  • The Lord has been so kind to us in our living situation as we have been working to get our house sold. Please pray for us that our old house will sell and sell quickly! The market is not great out here, but we believe in a God who is bigger than the current market status and are believing for Him to move.
