Looking Back and Ahead with Gratitude

Hi Friend :)

We want to take a moment to thank you for being on this journey with us! Our prayer has always been that this newsletter wouldn’t just be a way to share ministry updates, but that it would also be a space where the Lord meets you personally. Testimony has the power to stir up faith in the body, and as we pour out our hearts here, our hope is that He uses it to encourage and nourish you!

GRATITUDE FOR THE PAST SEASON

Yesterday was such a big day for us as we closed a chapter that has meant so much to our family. For the past 4.5 years, Mercy Road Church Northwest has truly been our home. It is where we found deep community, where our kids have grown up, and where the Lord has stretched and shaped us in ways we will carry forever.

As we prayed leading into this last week, we sensed the Lord inviting us into a posture of gratitude, gratitude for His kindness and His faithfulness in every step of this season. That is exactly where our hearts are today. We are overwhelmed with thankfulness for all that God has done in and through our time at Mercy Road.

MINISTRY UPDATE

As we have been preparing for our sabbatical, we have been very busy getting things rolling with the new ministry! So here are some fun updates!

  • We are OFFICIALLY working with Sent Ones, an organization dedicated to mobilizing people for the Gospel and reaching the lost. We had been tossing around some different options with various levels of partnership with them, but this week we had some really cool conversations with them and we're excited to be a part of this! HERE is the link to their website if you want to see some more about them! (This is a personal message from Nick: "You must check out the awesome merch!")
  • We locked in a couple campuses for this school year to host Awaken Nights and potentially some trainings for the students! We are finalizing dates in October after our sabbatical.
  • Recently, we had a round table meeting with several individuals about the vision for the discipleship school and it was amazing! It was really fun to bounce thoughts and ideas off one another and get things in motion.

WHAT HE HAS BEEN STIRRING IN US

The Lord keeps bringing us back to Acts 1 and 2 as we step into our sabbatical and this new ministry venture. What strikes us is the order of events.
Before Jesus sent His disciples out, He told them to wait for the Holy Spirit.
And while they waited, what did they do?
They prayed. "They all joined together constantly in prayer" (Acts 1:14)

Then Pentecost came. The Spirit was poured out. And ordinary men and women were filled with a holy boldness to proclaim Jesus in a way that shook the world. It was in their obedience and their boldness that the Lord provided and “added to their number daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47).

We’ve been asking the Lord to make our sabbatical an upper room season for us — a time where He is drawing us close to pray constantly, to fast, to worship, and to simply behold Him. Our heart is that His Spirit would fill us with fresh boldness for the work of ministry ahead so that we might see many saved.

GIVING UPDATE (As of Aug 27th)

We are so thankful for the way the Lord has already been moving through your generosity. Because of one-time gifts, we are fully funded through the end of this year! This has given us the space to keep pressing forward in ministry while intentionally building our monthly support team.

Right now, we are 12% funded in ongoing monthly support. These monthly partnerships are what truly sustain the ministry long-term—they make it possible for us to pour our full attention into hosting awakening nights, training and equipping leaders, and mobilizing students into their callings with confidence and consistency.

Would you prayerfully consider joining our monthly team? Your partnership isn’t just about covering expenses - it’s about fueling the mission of awakening hearts to Jesus and multiplying kingdom impact. Every monthly gift, big or small, makes a lasting difference.

End of Year UPdate Hey Friends! The Lord genuinely continues to amaze us with his goodness and faithfulness. With more progress being made in the organization and more partners being brought in, we wanted to send out a newsletter that is much more centered around the details of what we're doing. Our hope is that this not only gives YOU more clarity of what you are partnering with but also serves as something you can SHARE with friends and family that might also be interested in partnering...

GOD IS SO GOOD! Guys we have just been in awe of the Lord recently, as we have been witness to some of His miracle working power before our very eyes. We’ve seen people encounter Jesus and make Him King of their lives, lives set free from sin, hearts delivered from anxiety and depression, and powerful healings physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Best of all, all of these people now stepping into relationship with Jesus and reclaiming their identity as a son or daughter of the King!! We...

Hi Friend :) Today marks 1 week of work after Sabbatical, and we are feeling refreshed and ready to get things going!! The Lord moved and spoke in such beautiful ways during our time of rest; we are incredibly grateful. He gave us new insights, new encouragements, new songs, and even some new friends! To put it in a word, Sabbatical was restorative. He restored our energy, our hearts, our family, our creativity, our love for ministry, our rhythms, and our intimacy with Him. The words of Psalm...
