Looking to the Summer and the Year Ahead!

Hi friends :)

First, we just want to say thank you. Getting to do the wonderful work we are doing is only possible because of your support! We are so grateful for every prayer, dollar, and encouragement we receive from all of you.

I wish we had some more big stories, photos, videos, and updates like the last newsletter but this last month has consisted of a lot less events and a lot more talking, praying, planning, and waiting. Here are just a few things going on right now to keep you in the loop:

  • We are in conversations with several colleges and cities and getting our calendar in order for AWAKEN in 2026-2027. These conversations consist of a lot of reaching out, discussion, praying, and waiting.
  • Ignite is hosting a Youth Leaders Conference here in Indy, August 13-15, for Pastors and Leaders of students and young adults! With all the work we are doing to reach and awaken students, we felt it would be important to also create space for their pastors so that they can cultivate healthier, hungrier, spirit-led spaces in their churches and youth groups. We will give registration links and more details as we get them in case you or someone you know is interested!
  • We have 3 new staff members joining AWAKEN and Ignite full time this summer! We are super excited! We are getting ready for them to come and do some ministry :)

PRAYER REQUESTS

There are a few things we would love your partnership in intercession! Would you join us in praying?

  • Continued discernment as the opportunities grow for AWAKEN. Pray for our team's discernment but also pray that the places we need to go would be clear not only to us but to the leaders in those places. Pray for all our conversations with schools and leaders around the country.
  • More intimacy for our team with one another and with the Lord. Closeness and dependence on Him is the only way we can do this!!
  • Provision for a few of our team members coming this summer that are still looking for a place to live.
  • Before our event schedule picks up to be crazy, Nick is going to be going full time with school from June to October so he can graduate in December! This is really exciting but it means the next several months are going to be really hard work, be praying for him and our family as he takes on a bit more than he has been.

New with us? This is What we do.

Welcome! We are Nick and Mady Wise, we are U.S.-based missionaries under an organization called The Ignite Network. The Ignite Network exists to magnify the King and multiply His Kingdom-- from Him, through Him, and for Him.

For the last 17 years, our friends Josh and Lashi Howard have led a ministry called Ignite, primarily working in global missions. Just last year, Ignite saw 84,054 people come to faith in Jesus, 122,614 people trained in ministry, and 11,525 churches planted. Praise God!!

What the Lord has invited us to do is to expand Ignite's presence further into the US and into other areas of ministry by creating an open-handed network dedicated to the Great Commission, raising up disciple makers who carry the Kingdom of God everywhere they go and creating abundant ministry opportunities for those the Lord has called. In the very near future, we will see several "arms" of the network doing important ministry: Ignite the Nations (global missions), Ignite Church Planting (US and global church planting), Ignite Hope (ministering to widows and orphans), Ignite Discipleship School, and AWAKEN, which is what the two of us oversee.

Here are some more details about the ministry we oversee, AWAKEN.

AWAKEN

  • AWAKEN is a worship ministry with a simple calling from the Lord: to awaken people to the love of God and the reality of His Spirit. Right now, our work is primarily putting on Campus and City AWAKEN Nights. In our AWAKEN Nights, we want to see people experience the profound freedom of the Gospel! These events consist of 2-3 hours of worship, prayer, speaking, and response; each minute will be incredibly intentional in creating a space to encounter the Lord. Here is our AWAKEN page, there is a form on it to invite us to your campus or city for the 2026-2027 School Year!
